Chuck Eaton ’71

Chuck was initiated into Sigma Phi Epsilon in 1967 and graduated from the University of Arizona with a BSEE in January of 1972. After graduation, he served in the US Air Force as Captain from 1972-76. Subsequently he also earned an MBA from Stanford University in 1978.

As an undergraduate, he served in the Student Senate from 1969-1970 and Vice President of ASUA from 1970-71. He was also a Letter winner in Tennis. He received a National Merit Scholarship, AFROTC Scholarship, and was on the Dean’s List numerous times. He also served on Phi Eta Sigma, Sophos, Chain Gang, Blue Key, Bobcats, Traditions, and received the RLNugent Award.

Brother Eaton currently is the President of Eagle Industrial Minerals Corp. which he founded in 2002 in Mill Valley, CA. Eagle is a developer and producer of industrial minerals in the Western US and Canada. They are currently developing three mining projects, in Whitehorse, Yukon, on Prince of Wales Island in southeast Alaska, and in Nevada. He is also President of Eaton Capital Corporation, a boutique investment banking firm, and has over 30+ year history in the international investment banking industry. Prior to founding Eaton Capital, he served as Vice President of Kidder Peabody & Co. and as Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance for Dean Witter in San Francisco.

Chuck has served on the Vestry at Christ Episcopal Church in Sausalito and is a past Director of the St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco. Chuck stays active in sailing, downhill skiing, water skiing, road biking, and sings in a gospel quartet.
